Custom-assembled parts
 Assembly and joining technology
Mounting of assembly groups
Our production also takes on the complete mounting of assembly groups in which our glass
products are installed - beginning with the disposal of the parts and ending with the dispatch.
Today, we are already producing different assembly groups for long-standing clients at our plant at Waldkassel.

You have a problem in the field of assembly and joining technology? We are looking forward to
cooperating with you in order to find a solution.

Glass-to-glass seals

The simplest variant is fusing glass parts with other glass parts. As long as both glass qualities are identical,
no further materials are needed. Glass-to-glass seals are robust, temperature-resistant and have the same
technical characteristics at the joint as the glass quality used. Glass-to-glass seals are suitable for gastight connections.
Glass-to-metal seals
It is possible to fuse glass directly with metal, if the linear expansion coefficients of glass and metal are closely together.
This fusion can also produce a gastight connection between glass and metal.

These connections are, like glass-to-glass seals, very stable and to a high degree temperature-independently usable.
However, the seal must not be heated too much and cool down too fast, since this may result in thermal stress in the glass.
Cracks and leaks are the consequence - risk of breakage!
Glass bonding based on plastic
Economic variants of connections are acrylic and epoxy bonding. Usually this kind of connection is employed for connections
that are not exposed to stressing like flows of strong acids, leaches or high temperatures. Simple connections between plastic
and glass can be realized at a reasonable price. We have different types of adhesives at our disposal for the most different types
of applications.
Glass-bonding on a ceramic basis
Bonding on a ceramic basis, in contrast to those based on plastics, is resistant to high temperatures and much more resistant to acids and leaches. Using ceramic adhesives, it is even possible to produce gastight connections. By burning the binder off the adhesive, an ion exchange will take place between glass and ceramic contents in the adhesive. This results in a highly stable connection. Because of the ceramic contents of the adhesive, the join will not look transparent but grey.
